The duties of the Social Services Director involve coordinating social services for juveniles who become involved with the juvenile court system in Terrebonne Parish. It also entails communicating with admissions personnel, counselors, and other necessary staff at mental health and substance abuse treatment facilities as required by the Court to establish appointments/placements for juveniles and to determine the status on juveniles in treatment.
In addition, the Social Services Director supervises the Juvenile Probation Officer(s) and the Families In Need of Services (FINS) Coordnator.
